Science Outreach and Public Engagement
Public engagement and outreach is a major focus of our research laboratory. We particularly engage projects tackling gender equality and helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are also extremely present in social media, using platforms such as Twitter and Public Press to promote our scientific research and engage a global audience.
We're particularly proud to be members of the in2scienceUK initiative - a charity which empowers students from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential and progress to STEM and research careers through high quality work placements and careers guidance. Please visit their website and consider volunteering to help.

We were recently surprised by the results of the @wellcometrust survey on research culture. 61% of researchers have witnessed bullying, 37% said they would not feel comfortable speaking out. Here's my opinion on it and on what we need to do to be better: https://t.co/D5abkPB0N3
